Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken, Shrimp, Crabmeat, Cashew Nuts, Eggs, and White and Green Onions. Pad See Ew with Flat Noodles, Chicken, Broccoli, and Egg.This last minute dinner decision was well worth the U-turn! Not only was the food well seasoned and freshly made, the ambiance was sophisticated, but approachable. The staff wasn't super attentive, but they also weren't rude.

New years eve, after getting back from shopping there are almost no places open past . Thai food sounded good and Thai Talay is within a min walk from our hotel (in heavy rain). There are no shortage of awesome Thai joints in Chicago so it is not easy to impress us. Just like other ethnic foods in the US, the American version is always a little different from the original back home.We didn't want to have left overs so we ordered our go to plus a sampler app. The app was on point, the chicken satay was so tender that they fall off the stick when you bite into it. Now alot of other places we have been to, you will have to rip it off the stick, so this is a good sign. The Pad See You with Chicken was % chicken and % noodles plus the veggies. The meat to noodle ratio is quite rare and we almost wanted to ask for more noodles by trading in the chicken. The sauce is a little bit on the sweet side, as in overly sweet (same as the Satay sauce). My duck in red curry was awesome, a little bit of heat, thick curry and tons of duck. The only thing I don't particularly like was how dark it was in there at night time, you can barely see the food. It was darker than a night club. That was why it took me a while to edit my photos to look somewhat presentable. And yes they do charge for the rice separately so do not make that mistake of complaining at the end when you get the bill because they will specifically ask you when you order.Comparatively speaking, it is a solid star in our experiences, nothing like the real thing in Thailand though.

I took my family on a Thursday night. Not too much people there. We got calamari and Tom yum soup for appetiser. The quality of the soup was too less and the way they served it was poor. The fried calamari was not fried as we expected. They added carrots In calamari? Where did that come from? And let’s not even talk about the quantity of the pad Thai. Only people can hardly share one plate. The Thai fried rice was ok but there was less quality. Overall food were really expensive and they don’t worth your money. Go somewhere else if you have a big team with you.

Tonight was my first visit. I was dying for some Tom Yum and this place was open late and had dine-in.The soup was good. While the chicken was a little tough, the flavor was spot on and a couple fresh Thai chilis brought the heat up to where I prefer it.Having resolved my craving I decided to have some sticky rice and mango for dessert. There isn't a lot to be done that makes sticky rice stand out from anywhere else but here it was done by presentation. Wow.
